I was walking by a Presbyterian Church and saw a sign that read:
“8:30 Traditional Service
10:30 Contemporary Service
6 pm Evening Service”
Obviously the church is trying to be more relevant to different demographic sets. How can you change when, what, where and even how you provide your service to meet the unique styles and desires of different demographic populations?

Right now, I think Church being soothing, calm, not bombastic is a true place of comfort. Contemplation, prayer and feeling as if within a group of people you know. This is priceless reassurance today. But I personally don\’t want to hear loud stuff in church these days. No more gay bashing, loud guitar music and nerve racking large monitors.
We need to find the peacefulness that the Holy Sprit brings us.
Thanks for sharing your posts. I am all for no gay bashing but I kind of like the loud music
I supposed what I\’m posting is the good old fashioned feeling of calm and peace – and the friendship/love of the rest of the congregation.
Thanks again for the post. I was really just commenting on the use of two services to meet two demographics.
